Yeah, that's truly appalling on so many levels. Does he really believe this, or does he think the people of Epsom will respond well to it I wonder?
ReplyDeleteI imagine the right will staunchly defend the old guy by suggesting that he's telling it like it is and that it's great that he not intimidated by jack-booted leftist PC thugs who would take away all our freedoms if elected.
There are many Asians in Epson. Wonder if they see that by singling out a race for blame, a chap as Banks could just as easily turn and blame Asians for troubles? Racist? Sure is.
ReplyDeleteIf we continue the bankrupt response of having people like John Banks in places of power spouting hatred towards poor minority groups all we will end up with is a bigger mess.
ReplyDeleteThe only way to remedy high unemployment and drug dependency is to create jobs and career paths not to mention education that is accessible for everybody.
Nact have undermined all these things and thus further entrenched the very problems they politic about... it's disgusting hypocrisy.
This is the same John Banks who twenty years ago advocated a prison-based industry to produce 'Maori' souvenirs for the tourist trade. As long as they're in there they should be doing something useful, by golly.
ReplyDeleteThat wasn't John Banks, it was some satirist dressed up to look like John Banks. John Banks is a mature responsible thinking person worthy of representing the Act Party and the electorate of Epsom.
