Reflections On The Passing Of Paul Holmes

As we all remember the veteran broadcaster and his legacy, one thing remains foremost in my mind.

As the nation mourns and as newspapers crowd their pages with tributes, as radio show hosts share their memories of the great man, and as bloggers rush to publish their "RIP Holmes" posts lest they be left behind in the scramble, I look on with a sudden sad realisation.

A sad realisation that I have nothing of any importance to say on the subject.

At least he's being more honest than some of the tweets I've read, from people who probably wouldn't know a heck of a lot about Holmes apart from what the media say.

  4. Oh Shit. Is this our version of the Princess Di festival of mawkishness? Hope not. Ian

  5. A beautiful tribute, Scott, that really reflects Sir Paul's contribution in so many ways.
